The Week Hansa Research Survey's ranking of India's top law schools in 2016 placed IIL at number 13 and fifth in the West Zone. IIL is the only law college in India to have established a world record for holding an animal moot court in the USA's Golden Book of records. Mr. Sandeep Patil, a former cricket player and chief selector for the BCCI, also recognised IIL as the best private law school in M.P. for 2016. By India Today in 2019, it was ranked 21st for law. The Indore Institute of Law provides a number of merit- and need-based scholarship programmes. A maximum scholarship of INR 30,000 will be given to the entrance exam top achievers. Candidates are eligible for these scholarships if they scored highly on the ILET, LSAT, or CLAT exams. Additionally, the institute provides scholarships to individuals who are physically challenged and have an international or national sports certificate.
